Laguindingan Airport Update

The construction of the Laguindingan Airport will be going into full swing, according to the inter-agency coordinating committee (ICC) overseeing the project.

Misamis Oriental Governor Oscar Moreno, ICC chair, said on Tuesday that with the approved project cost of P7.8 billion, there would be no more obstacles to the airport project.

Laguindingan is 30 minutes from Cagayan de
Oro City and less than an hour going to Iligan City.

2007 NBC Champions - Iligan Crusaders!

Yahooo! Congrats to Bong Marata, MVP, and the Iligan Crusaders for winning the 2007 NBC Championship against the defending champion Ozamiz Cotta, 81-79. Thanks to my batchmate Rigor for breaking the news and gORs for the score.

The sad news is that I'll have to rely on a yahoogroup and an online forum to get updates, not even from NBC's site! Haay naku!

• ILIGAN CITY - Nat Cruz sneaked in the winning putback just in the nick of time as the Firefly-Iligan Crusaders escaped with a pulsating 68-66 squeaker Thursday night and marched on to the finals of the 2007 Spring Cooking Oil-NBC national cup at the packed MSU-IIT gym here.

Bong Marata, who split his freethrow in the final four seconds, allowed for Nat's winning putback. Ayos!

Firefly-Iligan Crusaders

I didn't know there's an Iligan team in the National Basketball Conference. Thanks to newsreel. The Firefly-Iligan Crusaders will play Game 3 tonight against Toyota-Iloilo Warriors. The winner will face Ozamiz Cotta. Go Crusaders!
